Whether you’re in need of rest, desperate for some quiet time, craving community, wanting to make space for the things that bring you joy, or looking to ease into solo travel, the (Un)Pack Your Bags Weekend Retreat will help you carve out that time, unpack the heavy baggage you’ve been carrying, and leave behind what is no longer serving you. 

Where Does it Take Place? 

The retreat events will all take place remotely, but the idea is to leave home for the weekend to gain some space from your everyday life. This can be as simple as getting a room in a nearby hotel, booking a cabin in the woods, or planning to explore a new city. If getting away is not possible, you are still welcome to attend the retreat from home. 

Her Bags Were Packed serves our community at the intersection of mental wellness and solo travel. We believe, if you let it, solo travel can be one of the most cathartic and healing experiences of your life. But we also understand it can be intimidating. The retreat is designed to support you as you ease into solo travel by providing solo-travel coaching sessions and assistance in making your travel arrangements.

This weekend retreat is designed for:

  • Women who are intimidated by the idea of traveling alone and would like a supportive environment to ease into it.

  • Women who would love some time for the things that bring them joy.

  • Women who are tired, overwhelmed and in need of an opportunity to rest and recharge.

What will you get? 

Leading up to the weekend event, you will:

  • Learn how to prepare yourself for and ease into solo travel. 

  • Learn travel planning tips and techniques.

  • Learn strategies for identifying and communicating your needs.

  • Set goals and declare intentions for the (Un)Pack Your Bags Weekend Retreat in order to get the most out of your time.

Leading up to and during the weekend event, you will: 

  • Learn journaling, meditation and other practices to help you process your emotions and needs, leaving behind what is no longer serving you.

  • Learn about yourself and discover your inner-strength, confidence and courage. 

  • Learn to identify and celebrate your resilience.

  • Connect with your body and learn to acknowledge and trust your intuition. 

  • Learn to recognize and prevent burnout. 

  • Identify the things in your life that are no longer serving you and take actionable steps to leave them behind. 

  • Create an action plan to assist you in implementing the techniques you learn into your everyday life. 

  • Receive ALL SORTS OF SWAG and giveaways!

How Much Does it Cost?

What’s included?

  • Two 30-minute one-on-one coaching sessions to talk through any fears, concerns or questions you have about the solo travel experience, your goals and intentions, etc. 

  • Leading up to the retreat, group coaching sessions to assist you with making travel arrangements, finding deals, etc. 

  • Leading up to the retreat, group workshops on identifying desires and setting goals and intentions for the retreat weekend so that you can maximize your time.

  • Access to private group discussion boards.

  • Workshop materials and other fun surprises and swag mailed to you in advance of the weekend’s events. 

  • Access to all retreat weekend events. 

  • Monthly group calls for added encouragement and community after the retreat weekend.

What’s Not Included?

Lodging, meals and transportation (but help figuring out all those logistics is included).
